Boating in the UAE

It's not a vacation if you don’t take a boat!!

This is my motto when I travel! Watching a city from the sea, a lake, or a river always gives me a different perspective!

So here are all the options for taking a boat in the UAE!

Abra: 1 AED to cross the Dubai Creek / 20 AED if you want the whole abra to yourself / 60 AED if 5 minutes aren’t enough and you want to cruise for half an hour!

Yacht: Of course, at sea, in front of the JBR Gulf, or off the Palm, all the way to The World Islands; or along the Business Bay canal and up to Creek Harbour to enjoy the sunset! In Abu Dhabi, you can also reach the Little Maldives: deserted islands where you can spend the day having a marine picnic!

Dhow Cruise: A traditional wooden boat, you can sail it at Marina or on the Creek, with an option to pair it with a dinner or just a soft drink!

Canoe through the mangroves: Two different locations in Abu Dhabi: Jubail Island and Western Mangroves. But don’t miss Ajman and Umm Al Quwain for an immersion in nature and a wilder destination.

RAK: Board a traditional wooden boat to reach the Pearl Farm and discover the history of the pearl divers!

Speedboat to reach Snoopy Island in Fujairah or Dibba Rock on the east coast of Sharjah, from Turtle Beach. Perfect destinations for snorkeling and diving, with wild nature and lots of fish and turtles!

Abra Lake Ride at the Dubai Mall Fountain: An original way to admire the Burj Khalifa directly from the fountains below!

RTA Blue Catamaran, from Marina to the old city for 70 AED and if you want, continue all the way to Sharjah! A slow and peaceful ride for those in no hurry!

For the thrill-seekers: a jet ski in the shape of a Lamborghini…

For those with more time: in the Musandam Peninsula, a dhow cruise between the Khasab fjords! A must-do.

Is there something missing?
