Moza Chair

This is where my mother thinks I have my office.
That is where I would really love to have it!
But, most of all, I want this chair, the Moza Chair by Studio Muju (Mentalla Said and Jumana Taha).

It is not just a simple piece of furniture; Sadu, a Unesco Intangible Heritage weaving technique, is celebrated and used in its composition.
The backrest also resembles the shape of the Sadu loom itself. And the fabric is woven with the typical dvoos al khail decoration, which you can also find on carpets and cushions.
This piece of furniture was created in 2016 during the TANWEEN design program curated by Tashkeel.

Discover what Tashkeel is in my Alserkal Avenue and The Courtyard’s Secrets tour.
